Job Summary
As a senior technical expert, the full-time Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster III will manage complex, high-exposure claims, providing technical guidance and supervisory support while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations on complex claims, maintaining detailed plans of action and identifying fraud indicators
- Oversee medical management and vocational rehabilitation for high-complexity cases, ensuring effective return-to-work strategies
- Direct the litigation process for complex claims, including negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences
Required qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of workers' compensation claims experience, including 5 years of independent indemnity management
- Active adjuster license in applicable state(s) required; California SIP certificate for CA files
- Comprehensive knowledge of public entity liability claims and applicable state WC statutes, especially California
- Experience with claims administration platforms and directing complex litigation
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior adjusters and manage client relationships effectively
