Job Summary
Analyzing complex workers' compensation claims, the contract Claims Adjuster will determine benefits due, manage high exposure claims, and negotiate settlements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and manage claims resolution
- Negotiate settlements within designated authority and ensure timely claim payments and adjustments
- Coordinate vendor referrals for investigations and manage the litigation process for claims resolution
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Five years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Subject matter expert in insurance principles and laws related to workers' compensation
- Five years of California Workers' Compensation claims adjuster experience required
- Knowledge of Labor Code 4850 and Safety Officer Presumption
