Job Summary
Analyzing complex California workers' compensation claims, the full-time California Licensed Claims Examiner will manage claims through investigation, benefit determination, settlement negotiation, and resolution while working remotely or onsite in various locations.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates and processes complex workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and manages claims to timely resolution
- Negotiates settlements within designated authority and ensures timely claim payments and adjustments
- Manages the litigation process and prepares necessary state filings within statutory limits
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Four years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP must be obtained within one year of hire date
