Job Summary
Overseeing clinical documentation reviews, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Documentation Manager will perform quality assurance on medical records, manage audits for regulatory compliance, and drive staff training and education initiatives in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of medical/health records to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation
- Lead data and root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities in clinical documentation processes
- Oversee staff training and establish partnerships with medical leadership to promote clinical documentation education
Required qualifications:
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in an inpatient acute care or clinical setting
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in clinical documentation improvement or integrity
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Administration, Health Information Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Nurse Practitioner Certificate, Registered Nurse License, Physician Assistant License, or Doctor of Medicine License in California required at hire
- Minimum one (1) year of experience managing operational or project budgets
