Job Summary
Providing patient-specific medication reviews, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will develop recommendations for medication utilization management and resolve pharmacy-related issues for members, while working remotely with potential in-person requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct patient-specific medication reviews and develop recommendations for drug utilization management
- Resolve medication and pharmacy issues for members referred by the Member Services Call Center or other departments
- Serve as a subject matter expert for audits, quality improvement processes, and various IEHP initiatives
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted California Registered Pharmacist license
- Two or more years of experience in a managed care pharmacy setting or completion of a Pharmacy Managed Care residency
- One year of experience in medical drug prior authorization and/or Medication Therapy Management preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge of current medical treatment protocols and guidelines
