California Licensed Clinical Pharmacist

Job Summary

To support medication management initiatives, the short-term assignment for a California Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will provide patient-specific medication reviews, develop recommendations for drug utilization management, and resolve pharmacy-related issues while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient-specific medication reviews and develop recommendations for medication therapy management
• Resolve medication and pharmacy issues for members referred from the Member Services Call Center and other departments
• Serve as a subject matter expert for audits, quality improvement processes, and various IEHP initiatives

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) from an accredited institution
• Active, unrestricted California Registered Pharmacist license
• Two or more years of experience in managed care pharmacy or completion of a Pharmacy Managed Care residency
• One year of experience in medical drug prior authorization and/or Medication Therapy Management preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge of current medical treatment protocols and regulatory standards for Medi-Cal and Medicare
