California Licensed Collection Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for collecting commercial, government, and patient balances, the full-time California Licensed Collection Specialist will monitor outstanding accounts, follow up on claims, and ensure maximum reimbursement while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding account balances and determine next steps in the collection process
• Follow up on claims and claim denials to maximize reimbursement for services provided
• Generate appropriate paperwork, including insurance claim forms and collection letters

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior work experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Computer proficiency and experience in windows-based technologies
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
• Strong organizational and time management skills
