Job Summary
Managing a caseload of complex commercial insurance claims, the full-time California Licensed Commercial Claims Examiner will review, evaluate, and process claims, ensuring accurate payment recommendations and settlements in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Examine and authorize commercial claims investigated by independent adjusters to determine coverage and validity
- Review and adjust commercial loss reserves and verify coverage while collaborating with legal counsel on claims involving litigation
- Investigate and negotiate settlements, ensuring compliance with company procedures and identifying potential fraud indicators
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of property claims adjusting experience, with a preference for 2+ years in commercial property claims
- Comprehensive understanding of policy contracts, statutes, and claims processes
- Certified in CEA and Fair Claims Settlement Practices
- Experience handling claims over $500,000
