California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review and assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and organizational policies while resolving complex coding issues.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review and validate medical records to ensure accurate coding and compliance with regulations
- Assist with compliance reporting and investigations by analyzing data and identifying potential risks
- Provide support for compliance projects, including developing project plans and coordinating stakeholder communication
Required qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, along with three (3) years of experience in healthcare compliance or related fields
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
