California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, validate documentation, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while serving as a subject matter expert in coding functions.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently review and validate inpatient, outpatient, and professional medical records for accurate coding
- Assist with compliance reporting and investigations by monitoring compliance data and identifying potential risks
- Provide support for compliance projects and initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory changes and standards
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field with a minimum of three (3) years in health care compliance or a directly related field
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
