California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, ensure compliance with coding policies, and serve as a subject matter expert on coding functions while addressing complex documentation and coding issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently review inpatient, outpatient, and professional medical records for accurate coding and compliance
- Assist with compliance reporting and investigations by analyzing data and documenting compliance activities
- Provide support on compliance projects by coordinating stakeholder contacts and developing project plans for deliverables
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or related field, plus three (3) years of relevant experience
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
