California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records for accurate ICD-10-CM coding and compliance, serve as a subject matter expert, and assist with auditing and reporting efforts related to coding functions.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently review and validate medical records to ensure accurate coding and compliance with guidelines
- Assist with compliance reporting and investigations by analyzing data and identifying potential risks
- Support the development and implementation of compliance standards, policies, and training initiatives
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years in health care compliance or a directly related field
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
