California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
To support compliance efforts in medical coding, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records to assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, validate documentation, and resolve complex coding issues while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently review and code inpatient, outpatient, and supplemental medical records in accordance with guidelines and regulations
- Serve as a compliance subject matter expert, assisting with coding questions and auditing processes
- Compile and analyze compliance data to identify risks and support compliance reporting efforts
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, along with three (3) years of experience in health care compliance or related areas
- Certification as a Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder
