California Licensed Compliance Consultant
Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records for accurate coding, serve as a subject matter expert in coding compliance, and assist with auditing and reporting in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Independently review and assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and hierarchical condition categories for medical records
- Assist with compliance reporting and investigation efforts, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions
- Provide support on compliance projects, coordinating stakeholder contacts and developing project plans for compliance deliverables
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, along with three (3) years of experience in health care compliance or a directly related field
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder
