Job Summary
To support compliance efforts in medical coding, the full-time California Licensed Compliance Consultant will independently review medical records, assign ICD-10-CM codes, and ensure adherence to coding guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review and validate medical records for accurate ICD-10-CM coding and compliance with regulations
- Assist with compliance reporting and investigations by analyzing data and documenting compliance activities
- Provide expertise and support for coding questions and auditing processes within assigned lines of business
Required qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of medical coding experience
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or a related field, along with three (3) years of relevant experience
- Certified Risk Adjustment Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder certification
