California Licensed Conflicts Attorney
Job Summary
To support the Intake Services department, the full-time California Licensed Conflicts Attorney will assist in conflict of interest clearance for new business, attorney and staff hires, and mergers/acquisitions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, resolving, and clearing potential or actual conflicts of interest related to new Firm representation or personnel
- Provide and draft waiver and engagement letters, ensuring compliance with Firm policies and professional responsibility rules
- Develop and implement conflicts training programs for newly hired staff while coordinating best practices and quality assurance protocols
Required qualifications
- JD from an accredited institution and good standing with a state bar where the Firm has a physical office
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer in a mid-size to large law firm, with significant experience in conflict of interest law preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of ethical, legal, and risk management rules governing conflict of interest and related compliance issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership skills and experience working effectively with all levels of personnel
