California Licensed Corporate Counsel
Job Summary
To ensure proper loan perfection across multiple jurisdictions, the full-time California Licensed Corporate Counsel will manage loan closings, review complex loan documents, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the Loan Production Team to ensure loans are properly perfected while delivering a first-class client experience
- Review, prepare, and negotiate complex loan documents and ancillary agreements
- Conduct title reviews and coordinate with Title Companies for accurate recording and finalization of title policies
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Licensed attorney in good standing with active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction; California License required
- Experience closing complex real estate transactions in multiple jurisdictions strongly preferred
- Proficiency reviewing title policies in connection with residential loan closings preferred
- Familiarity with lender documentation and loan packages
