Job Summary

Overseeing the end-to-end purchase process for closed correspondent loans, the full-time remote California Licensed Correspondent Purchaser will act as the primary liaison with seller partners, ensuring documentation and compliance while safeguarding loan quality and mitigating risk.

Key responsibilities

• Review and audit closed correspondent loan packages for accuracy and compliance with policies and guidelines
• Proactively identify and resolve prior-to-purchase conditions, ensuring timely clearance and smooth purchase processes
• Maintain communication with sellers and coordinate with internal teams to reconcile discrepancies and complete funding transfers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of mortgage industry experience in correspondent lending or related fields
• Advanced knowledge of loan documentation, collateral review, and investor purchase requirements
• Proficiency in Loan Origination Systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience managing multiple purchase files under tight deadlines
