Job Summary
To support epidemiologic research initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Data Scientist will program in R and Python, manage data extraction and analysis, and develop automated reporting solutions while working remotely within California.
Key responsibilities:
- Extract, manipulate, and merge large datasets to create analytical datasets for research projects
- Assist in data analysis interpretation and prepare reports and presentations to influence decision-making
- Develop and automate business and reporting solutions, including visualizations and interactive reports
Required qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year experience programming with SAS, SQL, R, or similar analytical programming language
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field, or two (2) years of experience in data analytics
- Experience in data preparation and cleaning to ensure quality and accuracy
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
- Understanding of basic statistical analysis methods
