California Licensed Databricks Architect
Job Summary
To support public sector clients, the remote California Licensed Databricks Architect will manage end-to-end Databricks implementations, leveraging extensive experience in data engineering and cloud-native data platforms over an 8-12 month contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver 6-8+ end-to-end Databricks implementations as a hands-on developer or solution architect
- Design and implement cloud-native data platforms across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Troubleshoot complex data platform challenges and recommend architecture patterns aligned with business requirements
Required qualifications:
- 12-15+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, and Data Analytics
- Databricks Data Engineering Professional certification or equivalent advanced certification
- Strong expertise in Apache Spark and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks
- Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices for production-grade data solutions
- Current understanding of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform and its capabilities
