California Licensed Deputy General Counsel

Job Summary

To shape regulatory and legal strategies across the Americas, the full-time California Licensed Deputy General Counsel will provide day-to-day counsel to senior leadership, manage legal initiatives, and engage with regulators in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and advance a comprehensive regulatory strategy in the US and Americas, fostering strong relationships with regulators
• Engage directly with regulators and senior executives, serving as a key point of contact for legal matters
• Lead a team of attorneys to ensure coordinated legal efforts and successful outcomes across various regions

Required Qualifications

• Membership with a US state bar or equivalent
• 12+ years of regulatory experience in financial services laws and regulations
• Prior experience in-house at a regulated financial firm, in the crypto industry, or at a top-tier law firm
• Experience managing other attorneys and driving projects to completion under tight timelines
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology and applicable laws and regulations in the crypto context
