California Licensed Director of Contracts

Job Summary

Guiding commercial agreements for a growing luxury lifestyle business, the full-time California Licensed Director of Contracts will draft, review, and negotiate contracts while leading the contract lifecycle management strategy, either from the Corte Madera headquarters or remotely within the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements across multiple business functions
• Partner with leaders to provide practical advice on contract terms and risk management
• Lead the development of contract management strategies, templates, and AI tools for enhanced efficiency

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant commercial contracts experience, with a preference for in-house experience at a large publicly traded company
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership; California bar membership or eligibility is strongly preferred
• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements
• Proven track record in building contract management programs and using contract lifecycle technology
• Exceptional legal judgment and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment
