Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely, ensuring compliance with coding and documentation guidelines while preparing detailed audit reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation across assigned lines of business
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings and provide education on compliance and coding practices
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement new processes that align with regulatory requirements and organizational goals
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field AND five (5) years of experience in health care compliance or related fields, or six (6) years of relevant experience
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent coding certification required at hire
