Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, monitor coding accuracy, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on identified opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes that support regulatory compliance
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or a related field, along with five years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist certification required at hire
