Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely to ensure compliance with coding and documentation guidelines while preparing detailed audit reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation across assigned lines of business
- Prepare detailed audit reports and analyze coding practices to identify potential risks and improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement new processes and workflows to support regulatory compliance and organizational goals
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, or six years of relevant experience
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
