Job Summary

To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits and reviews to assess the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation across assigned lines of business
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on identified risks and compliance issues
  • Develop and implement new processes and workflows to support regulatory needs and enhance coding integrity
Required qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
  • Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, with five (5) years of relevant experience, or six (6) years of experience in a directly related field
  • Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
