Job Summary
Contributing to coding quality audits, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, monitor documentation accuracy, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor coding and documentation accuracy across assigned lines of business
- Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on identified opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes that enhance coding integrity and compliance
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, or six years of relevant experience
- Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, or equivalent certification required at hire
