Job Summary
Contributing to coding quality audits, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely to ensure compliance with coding and documentation standards while enhancing coding integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on identified opportunities for improvement in coding practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes that enhance coding integrity and meet organizational goals
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing and coding reviews
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field, or a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in health care compliance or operations
- Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist, or equivalent certification required at hire
