Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity and compliance, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects to monitor coding accuracy and documentation quality, while working remotely and contributing to audit analysis and report writing.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and special projects to assess the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation across assigned lines of business
- Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes that support regulatory needs and organizational goals
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing and coding reviews
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist required at hire
