Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity and ensure compliance, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, special projects, and reviews remotely, focusing on the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor coding accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on identified opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes supporting regulatory needs
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field, or six years of relevant experience
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
