Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely to ensure compliance with coding and documentation guidelines while preparing detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation across assigned lines of business
- Prepare detailed audit reports and facilitate the development of new processes and workflows to support regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify coding/documentation trends and provide actionable feedback for improvement
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing and coding reviews
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field and five years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist required at hire
