Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, special projects, and reviews remotely, ensuring compliance with coding and documentation guidelines while preparing detailed audit reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare audit analysis and reports, identifying potential risks and compliance issues
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement new processes supporting regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, plus five years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
