Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely, while preparing detailed reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation across assigned lines of business
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings and recommendations, while providing education and support to teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement new processes that align with regulatory needs and organizational goals
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing and coding reviews
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field, plus five years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician, Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based, Registered Health Information Administrator, Certified Professional Coder, or Certified Coding Specialist required at hire
