Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct quality audits, special projects, and compliance monitoring remotely, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and improving documentation practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare detailed audit reports and provide education on compliance and coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes that support regulatory needs
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, with five years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
