Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity and ensure compliance, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely, focusing on the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation while preparing detailed audit reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and special projects to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare audit reports and perform trend analyses to identify potential risks and compliance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes that support regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field and five years of relevant experience, or six years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
