Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, monitor coding accuracy, and prepare detailed reports while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and special projects to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare audit reports and identify potential risks and remedies related to coding practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes that support regulatory needs
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, with five (5) years of relevant experience, or six (6) years of experience in a directly related field
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
