Job Summary
Contributing to coding quality audits, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely to ensure compliance with coding and documentation guidelines while enhancing coding integrity across assigned lines of business.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and special projects to monitor the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare audit reports and provide education on compliance and coding practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes that support regulatory needs and organizational goals
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or related field, with five years of relevant experience, or six years of directly related experience
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent coding certification required at hire
