Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, reviews, and special projects remotely, ensuring compliance with coding and documentation guidelines while preparing detailed reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct special projects and audits to monitor coding accuracy and quality, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and provide education on identified opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement new processes that support compliance and organizational goals
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field, or six years of relevant experience
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent certification required at hire
