Job Summary
To ensure compliance with coding and documentation standards, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, monitor coding accuracy, and prepare detailed reports while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct special projects and audits to assess the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation across assigned lines of business
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings and recommendations, and provide education on coding practices as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance coding integrity and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing and coding reviews
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field and five years of relevant experience, or six years of relevant experience without a degree
- Registered Health Information Technician or equivalent coding certification required at hire
