Job Summary
To enhance coding integrity, the full-time California Licensed Documentation Auditor will conduct audits, monitor coding accuracy and documentation quality, and contribute to regulatory compliance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct audits and special projects to assess the accuracy and quality of coding and documentation
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings and provide education on coding practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement processes that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Required qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including chart auditing
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Care Administration, or a related field, or six years of relevant experience
- Registered Health Information Technician or other relevant certification required at hire
