California Licensed Employment Counsel

Job Summary

Serving as a strategic legal advisor, the full-time remote California Licensed Employment Counsel will provide guidance on employment, labor, litigation, and pre-litigation matters, partnering with various departments to ensure compliance and manage legal risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of employment law matters, including workplace investigations and policy interpretation
• Manage employment-related litigation and pre-litigation matters from assessment through resolution
• Develop and maintain employment-related policies, templates, and training to enhance compliance across the organization

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active membership in at least one state bar in good standing
• At least 8+ years of employment law and litigation experience
• Significant experience advising multi-state employers in-house or at a law firm
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
