California Licensed Executive Director, HIMS
Job Summary
Providing strategic and operational leadership, the full-time salaried California Licensed Executive Director, HIMS will oversee health information management services across multiple locations, ensuring compliance, operational improvement, and alignment with organizational goals in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise HIMS strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
- Lead HIMS operations, setting performance indicators and ensuring quality and revenue cycle objectives are met
- Oversee coding, documentation, release of information, and regulatory compliance functions while serving as custodian of the legal health record
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in Health Information Management, including at least seven years in a leadership role
- Current RHIA or RHIT certification
- Strong knowledge of HIMS operations, revenue cycle management, and legal health records
- Experience leading multiple levels of management across varied locations
