California Licensed HMIS Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of system administrators and analysts, the full-time California Licensed HMIS Manager will oversee the operation and continuous improvement of a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), ensuring effective data management and compliance with HUD requirements, while working remotely or in the Los Angeles area.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HMIS operations, ensuring reliability and quality in accordance with contracts and service level agreements
• Manage and support the professional development of a team of data professionals, aligning priorities with organizational strategy
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure operational and strategic benchmarks are met

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field; master's degree preferred
• Professional experience with HMIS and homeless services data systems, including understanding HMIS software requirements
• Proven ability to manage professional teams and deliver operational or technical outcomes in ambiguous situations
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies relevant to software development and data management
• Experience interpreting data and analytical reports, identifying policy implications, and making recommendations to leadership
