California Licensed Home Loan Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely in California, the non-exempt California Licensed Home Loan Specialist will coordinate loan processing activities, communicate with members and vendors, and manage documentation and compliance tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and communicate information regarding loan transactions with members, Home Loan Advisors, and vendors
- Order title reports and flood certificates, follow up on appraisals, and assist in collecting necessary loan documentation
- Prepare and upload loan conditions into the Loan Origination System for tracking and assist with pipeline management
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- 2+ years of mortgage lending or processing experience preferred
- Understanding of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance including BSA, RESPA, TILA, TRID, and AML
- Ability to maintain knowledge of credit union policies and investor program guidelines
- Experience in managing loan quality and efficiency levels
