Job Summary
To lead immigration strategy for universities, hospitals, and tech startups, the full-time California Licensed Immigration Attorney will advise on various visa matters, handle physician-related immigration cases, and oversee client communications in a 100% remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on cap-exempt and cap-subject H-1B strategy, EB-1B, NIW, O-1, E-2, TN, E-3, and J-1 matters
- Handle physician and clinical immigration matters, including J-1 waivers and permanent residence cases
- Guide startups on immigration strategy and review work produced by paralegals and legal assistants
Required qualifications
- Bar membership and 7+ years of business immigration experience
- Strong knowledge of nonimmigrant and employment-based green card processes, including PERM and complex RFEs and NOIDs
- Experience with at least two of the following: universities, hospitals, or tech startups
- Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads with strong writing and organizational skills
