California Licensed Inpatient Review Nurse
Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Inpatient Review Nurse, the full-time remote position will manage patient care through collaboration with healthcare providers, ensuring appropriate and cost-effective services while adhering to evidence-based guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Perform reviews of inpatients with complex medical and social problems
- Coordinate care activities with patients, families, and healthcare providers while generating referrals to ancillary services
- Monitor and document clinical criteria, reporting progress of open cases to management
Required qualifications
- Active, valid, and unrestricted LVN or RN license in California
- Minimum 3 years of general case management experience, including 2 years in a managed care setting
- Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing Program
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to nursing utilization review
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
