California Licensed Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Summary

To support a growing litigation team, the full-time California Licensed Insurance Defense Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, working remotely from Long Beach, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents while conducting legal research and case analysis
• Appear in state and federal courts for hearings and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and trial preparation

Required Qualifications

• Active California Bar license and good standing required
• 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related civil litigation practice
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and insurance defense
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and hearings
• Excellent legal research and writing skills, including case law analysis
