Job Summary
To support patient care in Sacramento, California, the per diem California Licensed Intake Representative will triage patients based on illness severity, conduct mental status screenings, and implement involuntary hold processes as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Triages patients and determines appropriate clinical program placement based on severity of illness
- Conducts thorough mental status screenings for incoming requests requiring a 5150 evaluation
- Implements the involuntary hold process when necessary
Required qualifications
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Psychiatric Technician (PSYT) certification
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 1 year of recent relevant experience in mental health
- Knowledge of California laws regarding voluntary and involuntary treatment of the mentally ill
