California Licensed Intake Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting patient access to care, the fully remote California Licensed Intake Specialist will coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure services are set up accurately and efficiently while managing patient communications and insurance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibilities and document interactions accurately
• Work with referral sources and internal teams to obtain complete and compliant documentation for timely care

Required qualifications

• One (1) year of relatable work experience required
• High School Diploma or Associate's degree in a relatable field, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, or customer service roles preferred but not required
• Familiarity with healthcare organizations, pharmacies, or medical supply environments is a plus
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
