California Licensed Intake Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient access to care, the remote California Licensed Intake Specialist will coordinate referrals, verify insurance eligibility, and manage clinical documentation while ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery
• Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibilities and document interactions accurately
• Work with referral sources and internal teams to obtain complete and compliant documentation for timely care

Required qualifications

• One (1) year of relatable work experience required
• High School Diploma or Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience required
• Experience in management, administrative, or customer service roles preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare organizations, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environments is a plus
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and healthcare systems
